Wildlife safari oregon7/25/2023 First thing she did after so annoyedly taking our fares to get in, was yell at us fo standing in a spot we had no clue NOT to stand! She was rude to those in front of us as well as us. The gal taking our money had no people skills. We arrived to discover that the price online is not the price that they charge you ( price went up a bit). They cannot control those handling them and supposed to care for them. There are reportedly ongoing investigations with regulatory agencies. The animals need to be evacuated and rescued immediately. The front desk staff were not in any sort of professional uniform. It is evident there is no professional staff or maintenance on site. The bengal tiger was licking the side of his shed repeatedly and appears gaunt and thin. Two brown bears are kept in a single enclosure with soiled water to drink and soak in. An old ox appears to be lame and suffering. A chimpanzee was enclosed in an enclosure that appears far too small for his size. A baby fox was used for a petting activity. Frightened baby deer were allowed to be chased by children. No clean water was visible in any of the enclosures. The lynx and serval were pacing frantically back and forth on one side of their individual cramped enclosures. The pack was laying in feces, covering the entire concrete pad. A young alpaca repeatedly ran himself into the side of a hut. All the animals appear sickly and starved. To our surprise, it was immediately clear upon entry that this was nothing short of an animal prison. Do your research and search "West Coast Game Safari abuse" on your If you are an animal lover, please do not go here. I honestly just wanted to leave as quickly as I could. This wasn't even big enough for most of these animals. I'm all for being able to be close to animals and pet them, but not like this. None of the animals looked like they were thriving. There was a young woman there who was hosting the petting show who genuinely seemed to love and care for the animals, which was probably the only nice thing about this place. I don't know if it was just my imagination but it seemed like the big carnivores were sedated because they were way too chill. Besides the cages that were way too small for them, they were pacing back and forth in their cages. Having owned cats since I wad 6 I knew just by looking at them that something wasn't right. I was excited to see the big cats but upon seeing them I felt an instant sadness. Feces everywhere and animals urinating right on the cement. As soon as we get our feeding cups and head our to the animals we are immediately harassed by these deer who are constantly trying to get at the food as if they hadn't eaten in a while. Btw, the prices online are not what they charge you. The gal at the front desk was rude and abrupt with us and explained how the park works so quickly that I barely had time to register what she had said before she charged my card. Strong smell of feces and urine, which I suppose is to be expected to an extent with animals, but this was a bit much. Went here with family and the smell hits our nose before we even enter the park.
